Sextus Pompeius

Pompeius is the one who provokes war in the Roman Empire. He demands revenge for his father’s death. Pompeius does not want to see Caesar ruling the country. That character is a strong and sensible soldier who is respected by the people. He uses Antony’s absence as a good reason to announce war. There is a good act when Pompeius decides to talk with the triumvirs before the war begins. It shows that this character is a reasonable man because he tries to reach a compromise. He shows a true, noble nature of character when he denies Menas’ idea to kill drunken triumvirs.
