Yet, it is up to the jury to decide and the jury is set for a guilty verdict. He is a vivid portrayal of the system that has started to change, but still has to act within the old established norms. Scout views judge Taylor as a shark who makes everything in his power to keep the order in court. Even though he has never voiced his opinion, his actions and gestures demonstrate that if it were up to him, Tom Robinson would have been a free man.
