Definition: is a process of identifying, describing, and evaluating the activities of a business and determining how they affect its operations. Activity analysis serves to determine what exact activities are implemented by a business, how many people are involved with those activities, how much time they typically spend to employ them, what resources are being used, how much resources are required for each activity, what role those activities play, and how valuable they are for a business. There are numerous methods of conducting an activity analysis. Such techniques as questionnaires, observation, interviews, etc. may be implemented in order to conduct a successful activity analysis.
