Constance de Beverley, a nun, and a page boy. She falls in love with Lord Marmion. Constance is addicted to him. She breaks vows given to God and leaves the convent. She follows Lord Marmion for three years, pretending to be his page boy. Constance de Beverley possesses the papers falsified by Marmion to undermine de Wilton, and she begs the abbess to get them to the king so that Clare will not be forced to marry Marmion. The churchly court puts her to death.
