This beautiful lady is the daughter of a German baron. Her father was a patron of Candid until he discovered that the last is in love with his lovely daughter. Cunégonde is awesome; she is pictured as delicate, loyal, kind and simply beautiful from all sides. But if everything will be good what a story, it would be? Her father’s castle was destroyed in a war and, and slaveholders take her and use her as a mistress. Cunégonde answers to Candide’s love but also betrays him later because of her interests. Also, she is shown as a girl who is not very smart and complex.
