A magnificent physician that finally found his daughter years later. The novel begins with his release from prison that remains a great mystery for the readers. When Dr. Manette met his daughter, he declared himself as kind and loving father who devoted his life to Lucie. All the darkness that he faced during the entire life was replaced by great love and tenderness of his daughter. Dr. Manette can forgive, and moreover, he does not support the revenge. This character feels important emotional happiness while forgiving people who hurt him.
