Ekwefi has a role of Okonkwo's second wife. Being younger, she used to be the most beautiful girl in the Umuofia and moreover in the region. She gave birth to ten children. Can you imagine that? Unfortunately, only one survived. Ekwefi has a big fear that she will lose this child – Ezinma as well. Ekwefi is a friendly woman, that is why she has a lot of good friends, one of them is Chielo, the priestess of the goddess Agbala. She is a formidable, strong, big-hearted and brave woman. She is a good example of a true woman.
