The master and mistress' son. He is a good example of the proverb – Children doesn’t understand what is it being racists. Even at the beginning of the novel, when he is thirteen years old, he teaches Tom how to read! And that is incredible. Later, he tries to find Tom when he is sold. He does it because he loves Tom, and wants everything the best for him. Being inspired that much of Tom young Shelby make all slaves free in a deceased father's plantation.
