This hero is portrayed as a huge traditionalist. He believes in the preservation of women’s dignity. It was even said that he believes in that even more than in bringing homicidal criminals to justice. Once, instead of issuing a warrant to find the place (source) of smell, he spread lime in Emily’s cellar at the night of death. Seemed like he knew in advance where the source is. He seemed to be very polite, fair and honest. He looked on a woman like on the perfect thing that needs to look after them. Also, this hero isn’t dynamic in the story.
