The Rose plays a significant role in the Little Prince’s Life and Perception of the World. She was left alone on the planet when the boy began his explorations. He talks a lot about the Rose because he is afraid to lose her. She is naive and vain, but the Prince continues to feel special love and care which makes him sensitive. The relationship between the Prince and the Rose is sometimes compared with the love between Antoine de Saint-Exupery and his wife. The Rose is a symbol of a devoted love as well as the responsibility of caring about those people or things that we adore.
