Manolin

A young boy is almost the only one who respects old Santiago. Manolin is a devoted apprentice, and he is eager to go fishing just as his mentor did. Because of Santiago’s lack of luck, the boy’s parents make Manolin visit another fishing boat. However, a kind boy is loyal to Santiago because he believes in him. Manolin cares for Santiago by bringing him food and newspapers because the man’s living conditions are bad. When Santiago returns from a long catch, a small boy is the first to cheer the man up. Such relationship is mutually kind and full of respect.
