Margot Frank is an older sister of Anne. The reader gets acquainted with Margot at the very beginning of the diary when Anne writes about her sister’s excellent notes at school. When Margot gets the call-up from SS, the family decides to hide earlier than planned. The girls do not have the best relationships during the time of hiding in the secret annex. However, that is because all the people feel in constant danger. Anne often compares herself with Margot, saying that her sister is like a goody-goody, while Anne is more mischievous and likes to tease her.
