General in God's army. In contrast to Raphael, Michael is a strict and military type of angel. He seems to be more like a punisher or instructor than a friend or guide. He and Gabriel are sent to fight with devil’s forces in the war which was in heaven. They were fighting till the God’s Son made his final attack. Also later exactly Michael is sent to expel Adam and Eve from Paradise. Michael also stands guard at the Gate of Heaven and narrates about the future of the world to Adam in Books XI and XII.
