Ogbuefi Ezeudu

This character is the oldest man in the village and one of the most important clan elders and leaders. He is described and shown as a very wise person, who saw a lot during his long life. Ogbuefi Ezeudu was a great warrior in his youth and now delivers messages from the Oracle. He warns Okonkwo not to take part in Ikemefuna’s death because this will lead to the tragedy. Later we see that his words were right. At Ezeudu's funeral, Okonkwo’s gun somehow explodes which caused the death of the boy. After this, we see that Okonkwo’s was exiled.
