Othello is a middle-aged man; he is a Moor and an officer of the Venetian army. His heart is conquered by a young girl and he marries her. He is a brave and good soldier, but no less than respectable qualities and in his character. He is respected by all around for his power and integrity. However, he has an open character that played a bad game with him and allowed his envious person to turn his love into a wife into a terrible and even deadly jealousy. When he realizes that his own hands have ruined the love of his life, he has nothing left but to kill himself.
