Peter is Mr. and Mrs. Van Daan’s son. His real name is Peter van Pels. When Anne first meets him, she does not like him. The teenage boy seems lazy, boring, and too much sensitive to her. However, when the time goes by, they become real friends and even more than friends. They experience the first kiss together, and this loving affection inspires both of them. However, the parents are against such relationship in the annex. Peter Van Daan died in the concentration camp, although it was only three days to the time of the liberation of that camp.
