Professor Nemur

This scientist leads the experiment with the mental improvement for Algernon and Charlie. He is arrogant and pig-headed. He is a great scientist because he manages to conduct such an operation which gives the man ability to learn for some period of time. However, professor Nemur doesn’t take into account people’s feelings and emotions. He thinks that Charlie is just an object of experiment and nothing more. This attitude irritates Gordon, and that is why he argues with the professor a lot. The doctor is obsessed with his career rise and the science itself. It makes him egotistical and self-concerned.
