The Raven

Another important character in the story. It is a bird that has an unusual feature: it can speak, and the only word it repeats is “Nevermore”, which seem to be very scary for the reader. When it appears for the first time, it comes through the window, and his entrance is grand, similar to the entrance of a king. In fact, the raven has the “mien of lord or lady”, which suggests its royal nature and appearance.  Nevertheless, we will never get it if it was for real, or allusion to something or just a dream of the narrator.
