The Scholar

Sometimes we read books paying more attention only to the main heroes forgetting to analyze extra characters. This character has an incredibly minor role. Among all the characters that can also play the role of Voltare mind, this one seems to be a voice of Voltare himself. He is that voice of wisdom and truth that is so needed in this novel. Where can we see that and sum like that? Scholar meets Candide and Martin in France and answers that he “knows nothing” about all that metaphysics stuff as Volter does. The only thing he says is that the world is confused.
