This is a white, nice family. Our hero – Nanny is working as a nanny for the Washburns when Janie is a young girl. Fortunately, the family was really warm to black people especially to Nanny and little Janie. Usually, the Washburns try to treat Janie like a member of their family. They buy her dresses, toys; their mother buy even accessories for Janie, later they buy even toys. Isn’t it cute that they didn’t give her toys of their kids but buy new ones? This is adorable for that period.
