The main character, Willie Loman represents the life of an ordinary man in the post-war years in the United States. He had been working as a traveling salesman all his life, trying to provide his family with everything necessary, as well as many others, but he did not get out of debt (mortgage, insurance, a new refrigerator - everything is needed, and he has not enough money for it). And now, in his old age, he, finding himself an unnecessary employer, with no understanding to his grown-up children, recalls his youth, his achievements, and mistakes (some had a substantial impact on the lives of his loved ones).
