Antinous

He is Penelope’s suitor. Antinous is characterized as the arrogant and rude man who does not control his actions and emotions. He creates a battalion to kill Telemachus. This personage keeps the distance and tries not to interact with other characters. Homer doesn’t explain the essence and reasons for such behavior. That is why we can state that he plays a minor role in the poem. He dies first after the Odysseus returned. The only personage whom he trusts and relies on is his mother Penelope. The woman contradicts deceptive personality of his son.
