Eliza is a cousin of Jane, one of two daughters of Mrs.Reed. When she was little, she doesn’t like Jane as like her brother and sister. But, probably, it was because of the gregarious instinct. When she was elder we see that she isn’t beautiful, she isn’t very smart or well-behaved. She is jealous of her sister, while all boys liked precisely her. During some time she turned herself to a robot having a schedule to almost everything. She closed herself to all emotions and feelings living without romance at all. After her mother’s death, she escapes to France and becomes a nun. Can we sum that all Reeds family was too much obsessed with ruining Jane’s life that almost forgot about theirs?
