Mr. Darcy is a rich and influential man and a main male hero of the novel. He is a friend of Mr. Bingley. This character can produce an effect on an audience that surrounded him by his condescending behavior. Darcy sometimes is too cold and demonstrated scarcity of emotions. He manages to attract Elizabeth by showing his indifference. He is a proud and taciturn person. However, his handsome image and good manners make him charismatic men. The first impression can be misleading. Under the mask of indifference, there is a sensitive and generous man, who knows how to use his sharp mind and charisma.
