His temper is distinguished by passion, energy and a huge stock of charm. The hero is handsome and witty, which explains his popularity with women.
Francisco belongs to the darlings of fate, playboys who do not know of failures. He successfully engaged in business, wasting his fortune on charity and gambling. The principal loves to manipulate persons, watching their behavior and predicting the possible reaction. Despite the seeming recklessness, it can hardly be called a stupid man. His irresponsibility is reflected only in relation to others and money.
By his nature, Francisco is an excellent actor, ready to change his beliefs depending on the weather or mood. He chooses the mask, guided by desires and taste. Not knowing what to stop looking at, he rushes to extremes and scatters over trifles. But pretense cannot last long. We see the real pain of Francisco when he drops the macho image and confesses in his love. He is ready to transform himself to please his beloved woman.
Francisco admires Hank's dedication to his ideals, pointing to a real inner struggle. Compared to him, he is a spy who sells information to the one who pays the most. Therefore, he holds the position of a recruiter, aiding Galt to gather participants for a strike. In essence, he is preparing the ground for the arrival of the new Prometheus.
With regard to relations with Dagny, they are connected by a common origin, a level of material well-being and love intrigue. Break with Francisco makes the heroine mature and create a new ideal of love. The irony is that the hero is trying to change the world for the sake of this true love. But, as the plot shows, the past is past.
