George Greggson is a production designer on TV. When we first meet George, he is introduced as Jean’s boyfriend, a strange skeptic who is uninterested in the rush of Jean and Rupert. He later marries Jean Morrel, and they give birth to two children – Jeffrey and Jennifer. He is shocked by the events that happened at the party and can’t gather himself for some time. Later he forces his family to move to New Athens where he can live among artists like himself. When the story comes to its ending, and after their children leave George and Jean commit suicide along with the rest of the community.
