In each book should be a story about boys who hate each other and later become best friends helping each other in different life situations. Herbert Pocket is the son of Matthew Pocket, Miss Havisham’s cousin, and hopes to become a merchant so that he can afford to marry Clara Barley. Pip first meets Herbert Pocket in the garden of Satis House. There Herbert challenged pip to a fight for one exciting occasion. After several years later, they meet again in London, and Herbert becomes Pip’s best friend. Also, becoming his companion Herbert wants to make Pip a better person, even more, a better gentleman. Herbert gives Pip a nickname – “Handel.”
