Jan is a 27-year-old African-American man. We immediately like him because he is thoughtful. He is very interested in astronomy and everything that is connected to it. Later he poses the question – if the Overlords are from another Galaxy, where’s their son? This makes him think that the idea to appear on the ship and see their native land and planet is good. Luckily, the attempt is successful, and he is the only human who sees the Overlords’ cities and way of life. And unfortunately, he is the Last Man returning to the Earth.
