Mildred Montag

Guy’s wife is a mediocre and vacant woman with a neurotic behavior and artificial appearance. Living according to the perverted norms of her time, Mildred is a bright example of an average citizen with a shiny smiling veneer hiding misery and depression. She does everything to adjust to the societal demands – even convinces herself to be happy when she is far from it. Her life revolves around such gadgets as labor-saving devices and 3D-life simulations. Unable to think rationally, she dedicates all her time to watching television and gossiping with her two small-minded friends. Mildred doesn’t seem to understand her husband. In fact, she doesn’t even try and easily betrays him when there’s a chance.
