Pip was a dull boy before going away to college in another bigger city. When he comes back, we see him in designer shoes and costume, in other words – showing off. He starts shaming his pure parents because of a simple reason – they don’t know the difference between vermicelloni and bucatini (different kinds of pasta). We can sum up that he is ungrateful, vain, self-oriented and…. And we still feel sympathetic to him. Even when he’s ashamed of people who raised him, even when he’s cruel to the girl who likes him. Also, he’s passionate, romantic and even a little unrealistic at heart.
