Robinson Crusoe

He is the main character in the novel Robinson Crusoe, written by the English writer Daniel Defoe. Robinson tells the story about him being on the desert island for 28 years and his willpower and incredible thirst for life.

The man appears in the Novel as a middle-class guy, who lives in New York City. His idea to become a sailor doesn’t appeal to his parents, and they are trying to convince him not to make such a huge mistake. Crusoe is stubborn, arrogant and full of enthusiasm; he decides to go on a trip despite all the warnings. After the ship was crushed and all the people were dead, he managed to stay alive. 

Though Robinson happened to be isolated from the whole world for such a long time, he was trying to be brave and courageous. His daily routine was hard and challenging, but he didn’t despair. Crusoe has mastered many agricultural skills that helped him to stay safe for a long time. He managed to build a canoe, sew garments from goat's hides and sow the grain during a certain period of a year.

Regardless of his decision about leaving his family, we definitely consider him as a great human being, who didn’t break under all the problems on his way. He is an excellent example of a man with a good soul and strong character.
