Roger is one of the most dangerous, cruel, and insidious boys on the whole island. He’s one of Jack’s followers, but in a way, he’s even eviler than his obsessed with power leader. If Jack longs for total control over the boys, Roger just enjoys hurting other people, especially weaker ones, and watching them in pain. Without the adults to control his behavior, Roger unleashes his inner sadistic inclinations on the position of a hangman. His duties include torturing of smaller and vulnerable boys. This is Roger who frantically tortures Sam and Eric until the join Jack and mercilessly murders Piggy with a big stone.
