Salamano

Salamano is a neighbor of Meursalt. He lives with a strange spaniel. They both Salamano and dog-like Meursault, and often it is even funny to look after their changing relationships from love to hate. He seems to be the strange old guy. Salamano’s dog suffers from mange, and he frequently curses at and beats his pet. However, after Salamano loses his dog, he weeps and longs for its return. When the trial comes, he testifies to him and says that Mersault is very kind and honest person who isn’t capable of doing something terrible. He did it because after losing a dog himself he understands what feels the main hero after losing mum.
