This character is essential as accurately he is the Wemmick’s father. He lives in the castle with him. He's a bit hard of hearing, but adore when people listen to him and nod with everything he says. When he is reading a book he does very loudly, I mean– very loudly! He is not a good and not the evil character that is why we can’t talk a lot about him. But we are sure that he loves his son a lot, and he helps us realize that Wemmick is a good guy.
