Adele is a very close friend of Edna. They were friends for a long time, had a lot of similar things. Adele adores and idolizes her husband, children. She even seems like she likes all house duties and responsibilities. She represents an ideal woman of the Victorian period. When she sees that Edna is rapidly changing they both feel they had nothing more in common and decided to break up. Adele doesn’t want to change; he feels good the way she lives her life now. For us, that life may even look like the one in the puppet houses.
